Babylon in Scripture is both a real empire and a picture of every age that worships money, power, and spectacle. Daniel lived under it. Israel was carried there in exile. Revelation names Babylon the Great as a city drunk on wealth and seduction, and then it falls in a single hour.

We believe New Babylon is not only a future skyline. It is the present order that sells identity, lust, and status as if they were life. The call is the same: come out of her, so you do not share in her sins.

The popular "secret rapture" chart, where the church vanishes years before a visible return, was assembled in the 1800s (Darby, then Scofield). That is not how the church read Revelation for most of its history. We study the text, not the chart.

Scripture shows a visible coming: lightning from east to west, every eye, the Lord himself descending with a shout. 1 Thessalonians 4 is meeting the Lord, not a hidden escape from the world. Then judgment, and a new heaven and a new earth, God dwelling with people, heaven and earth no longer split.

We do not set dates. We watch, we endure, we tell the gospel.

• "For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." - Matthew 24:27
• "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go." - Acts 1:11
• "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel." - 1 Thessalonians 4:16
• "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people." - Revelation 21:3
• "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain." - Revelation 21:4

Scripture eludes to continuity of persons, not a wipe of the soul. At the transfiguration, Moses and Elijah are recognized. In Luke 16 the rich man knows Lazarus. Paul says we shall know fully, even as we are fully known. The cloud of witnesses is not a crowd of strangers.

We believe you keep your story and can recognize those you loved. What drops away is the weight of this age: pain, tears, death, drama, anger, and all of the seven deadly sins. They have no office in heaven.

Monetary systems cease. No buying, no status, no ledger of who owed whom. That absence is peace. Worldly things no longer matter because they were never the kingdom.

• The rich man and Lazarus remain themselves and know each other. - Luke 16:19-31

His given name in Hebrew and Aramaic is Yeshua, "Yahweh saves." That name moved through Greek as Iesous and into English as Jesus. The translation is not a different person. It is the same name walking through languages.

In the Gospels he almost never markets a title. He refers to himself as the Son of Man: the human one who is also the figure in Daniel who comes with the clouds and receives a kingdom. That is how he stands before the high priest. That is how he names the cross.

We theorize he holds that name because he was sent to save humanity by becoming human: to feel hunger, grief, joy, and even temptation, yet without sin, so he could redeem us from the inside (Hebrews 2 and 4). Fully God, fully man, not a mask.

• "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45
• "We do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin." - Hebrews 4:15

The true mission of Jesus, and the path toward his return and the end of suffering, is not a secret code. Believe him. Receive him. Live as he lived: truth, mercy, holiness, love of enemy, love of the poor.

Then convert and spread the gospel to all souls. The news goes to the nations. That is witness, not conquest. Until then we work, we wait, we do not grow cold.

This present world is not neutral. Scripture says it lies in the power of the evil one. The god of this age blinds minds. The ruler of this world has a throne here, even though the cross already judged him.

Temptation is not only the sins everyone names. Social media, porn, drugs, and addictions that look harmless (scrolling, shopping, rage, image) are bait. The fight is not against flesh and blood. Stay awake. Do not love the world or the things in the world.

• "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers." - 2 Corinthians 4:4
• "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8
• "Do not love the world or anything in the world." - 1 John 2:15

Genesis 3 is not a children's fable. The man and the woman reach for the knowledge of good and evil on their own terms. Trust breaks. Shame, toil, thorns, and death enter the story. That is the fall of man, and we still live in its weather.

Sin entered through one man, and death through sin. Creation groans. Pain is not proof that God is absent. It is proof that the world is not yet healed. Christ entered the groan. Glory is still ahead.

• "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it." - Genesis 3:17
• "We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." - Romans 8:22

We believe all sin is addiction: a loop that promises relief and then takes more. You are a slave to whatever you obey. Even the "small" habit trains the same muscle as the "large" one.

Recovery language belongs here. Confess. Get in the light with other people. Do not return to the chain. Freedom is not a mood. It is a master: Christ instead of the old pattern. Everyone who sins is a slave to sin. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

Idolatry is not only a statue. It is whatever you trust, fear, and obey instead of God. False religion. Atheism as faith in the self and the age. Cults that steal a name of Jesus and empty it. Consumerism. Celebrity. The brand that baptizes greed.

You cannot serve God and money. Greed is idolatry. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped created things. Keep yourselves from idols. The first command still stands: no other gods.

Repentance is not a shame spiral. The old word is metanoia: a change of mind that turns the feet. You stop running your way. You face God. You name the sin. You walk the other road.

Godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation. The prodigal gets up and goes home. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive. Repent, then, and turn back, so that times of refreshing may come.

• "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret." - 2 Corinthians 7:10

Forgiveness is God releasing the debt you could not pay. It is also you releasing the debt you keep collecting from other people. It is not pretending nothing happened. It is refusing to be the jailer.

How it works: we forgive because we were forgiven. Be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. If you will not forgive, you close the door you yourself walked through. Seventy times seven is the math of mercy, not a loophole for abuse. Truth and forgiveness can sit at the same table.

Free will has a purpose: love that is forced is not love. God sets life and death before you and says choose. Joshua says choose this day whom you will serve. The door is opened and you still have to walk through it. Without a real choice, repentance, faith, and mission would be theater.

Predestiny is God knowing and intending the story before you arrive in it. He knew Jeremiah in the womb. Those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son. He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. Your days are not an accident. There is a path.

We believe these are not a contradiction. They are a deep lesson of life, like many things in the Bible that look like they cannot both be true until you live them. A parent can plan a road and still let a child walk it. God authors the way. You still take steps. In your heart you plan your course, but the Lord establishes your steps. Work out your salvation, for it is God who works in you.

You can stray. You can follow. The invitation stands because the path is real, and so is the wanderer.

• "Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." - Philippians 2:12-13

Faith is not pretending you have proof. It is confidence in what God has said when your eyes still cannot see it. Trust is the next step: you stop leaning on your own map and let him steer.

God's love is patient and kind, not a feeling you wait for. Marriage and friendship are meant to look like Christ and the church: sacrifice first, score-keeping last. Deep love covers a multitude of sins without calling evil good.

Family is the first church most people ever see. Children learn the way by walking it with you, not by a lecture. Honor of father and mother is not optional, and fathers are told not to crush the ones they raise.

Work is not a curse you survive until Sunday. You work for the Lord, even when a human signs the check. You are God's handiwork, created in Christ for good works he already prepared. Commit the work. He establishes the plans.

Hardship is not proof you were abandoned. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. Trials can produce endurance if you do not waste them. The strength is his, not a personality trick.

Anxiety wants to run the whole day. Scripture tells you to pray instead of spiraling: petition, thanksgiving, then the peace of God. Fear is not the gift he gave you. Cast the weight. He cares.

Nobody is the exception. All have sinned and fall short. The way out is not a better performance. It is confession, because he is faithful and just to forgive. God's discipline is not spite. It is a harvest of righteousness after the pain. Growth is fruit of the Spirit, not a grindset. Do not copy the world's pattern. Let your mind be renewed so you can tell what his will actually is.

Anger is fast. Wisdom is slow. James says be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry. A harsh word lights the room on fire. Patience is not weakness. It is love with a long fuse, humble enough to bear with people.

Money is a tool. The love of it is a root of evil. Honor God with the first, not the leftover. Contentment is the opposite of the world's hunger. You cannot serve God and money, and heaven has no currency anyway.

Wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord, not with a clever take. If you lack it, ask. He gives generously. The word is a lamp for your feet, which means you often get the next step, not the whole map.

The gospel is not a self-help plan. God loved the world and gave his Son so that whoever believes would not perish. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. You are saved by grace through faith, not by the score you keep. That is hope you can actually stand on.
