What inspired your latest collection? (shows, movies, anime, games)
I was toying with the idea of creating a collection centered around proverbs for a while, because I find their essence as distillations of collective knowledge a really fascinating concept. In some way, I thought of them as little pieces of armor that is handed to us by our forebears, like a guidance system for navigating the world or dealing with different circumstances. I’m really into fantasy, folklore, and animals, so I decided to play with all of these elements together.
When did you get into the NFT sphere? (join crypto/notice NFTs)
I started posting on Lens around two years ago, and that was where I also collected and minted my first NFTs. I missed the major NFT boom, and honestly, I’m okay with that. I think it’s interesting to come into the space now and see what survives and what doesn’t.
What NFT communities are you a fan of?
My favorites are Kemonokaki, Cigawrettes, and Very Internet Person.
What's your current music playlist looking like?
I’m not great at naming genres, but it’s mostly hyperpop (Mietze Conte, Geo22, FILLY) with atmospheric/ambient electronic music and some trip hop mixed in.
Anything coming from you soon?
Definitely, always! I’m constantly creating and evolving my methods. It will be a long while until my next formal collection, but you’ll keep seeing my post my work and progress.
Is there a deeper message to your work, or this collection specifically?
Always. For the most part it is introspective; my art reflects observations of myself and the people and world around me. I particularly like to explore what it means to be connected in this hyper-online world, and I think a lot of us who grew up online can relate to that. Although my work is usually very personal to me, I am glad if others can find their own meaning within it. There is this quote: “The more specific we are, the more universal something can become,” and I like to approach my creative process with that in mind.
